Is it just me or does it still feel like the 90s were ten years ago?
Well, newsflash to all of us, they weren’t! But that doesn’t mean those perfectly awkward years are long gone.
Actually, I’d like to think it’s the opposite!
I’m a proud millennial and I LOVE reminiscing, especially back to all my 90s favorites….and flavors.
I mean, 90s snacks were the best.
Bringing the 90s Back
I’d have to say that 90s hair accessories (butterfly clips, anyone?), games (hello Mall Madness, Polly Pocket, and Tamagotchis!), and food were the most redeeming qualities of the 90s.
And oh boy, did I eat so many classically 90s food. You know which ones I’m talking about. My absolute favorite of which was cereal. Even as an adult, I get cravings for my good ‘ol favorites from the most colorful decade yet.
And now, one of those favorites has come out with a brand spankin’ new flavor! Kellogg’s® Wild Berry Froot Loops® Cereal is here and it’s giving me all the 90s vibes. Well, except for the fact that they’re new and not that I’ve been keeping a box of cereal from the 90s in my cabinet—that’d be questionable.
The 90s games and hair accessories, sure, but food? Doesn’t exactly last 20+ years, so I’m really thankful for this fun new cereal that reminds me of such a fun decade.
About those Wild Berry Froot Loops®
I love cereal for so many reasons, one of which being it’s a sweet treat when the craving sneaks up on you. And also because it takes zero work to prepare. Sometimes that’s all you really need, especially when I need to run out the door quickly or I’m totally exhausted after a full day of work. It just doesn’t get easier than adding Wild Berry Froot Loops® and milk to a bowl.
Where to find it
It may sound silly to some of you but after 7 years of living in Boston, having larger grocery stores nearby is incredible. I remember shopping in tiny grocery stores for years; they all had a limited product collection (as to be expected) and were frequently out of the ingredients and products I needed.
Now that we’re living in Atlanta, I feel like it’s a whole new world. The stores are massive! And not in an overwhelming way but like an “oh I can get everything I need in one store instead of four?” way. It’s the best.
Not that I’m knocking Boston, I loved living there! But having more selection & product quantity so close by is truly exciting (is this what adulting is like?). In fact, we grabbed the new Wild Berry Froot Loops® at our local Walmart right in the cereal aisle next to the original Froot Loops. Naturally, I had to try it.
If you’re curious about the new Wild Berry Froot Loops® (which I’m guessing you may be if you’ve made it this far!), it’s seriously brightly colored (which you know I love!), and it’s got this delicious berry taste and aroma. I’m already sold, just saying.
