Creating a home right here in Atlanta, GA – and how to set up your own Nespresso Coffee Station!
This post has been sponsored by Nespresso. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Creating a home in a small (rented) apartment is a challenge.
Creating a home anywhere is tough, but creating a home in a space you don’t own and in a brand new city is truly tough.
But we’re doing it. We’ve been in Atlanta for a few months now and the city feels like home more and more each day. We’re hanging things on the wall, getting photographs printed and framed, and decorating a cozy little workspace.
In the kitchen, we’ve displayed our favorite cookbooks, handpicked some sweet little decorative items, and organized the countertops.
Speaking of which, we try to keep our countertops as clean and minimal as possible. While that doesn’t always happen – usually when I’m cooking a non-one pan meal, oops – we do our best to keep the kitchen feeling open and not too cluttered.
But you know what surely isn’t clutter?
Coffee! I’ve become accustomed to enjoying my morning coffee. It’s a welcome treat as I jump into my work day after a rigorous early morning workout. And when I say early, I mean early. We wake up and head out around 6 am for a 6:27 am workout. Yes, exactly 6:27.
We’ll save that story for another day, though. Once we get home, I get ready for the day ahead and settle in to work with a coffee in hand.
I’ve tried it all – the french press method, the mini french press method (you know, for one cup at a time and also because it’s adorable), the old school coffeemaker that makes you feel like you’re at a diner, and so on – you get the picture.
But never has a cup of coffee looked so beautiful as this one from my Nespresso.
Can you blame me? Just look at that cup of coffee! It’s got a perfectly light crema on top and all I had to do was press a button.
If that’s not an easy and delicious way to start the day, then I don’t know what is.
As we’re still working on creating a home that feels like home here in Atlanta, we opted to create a little coffee station in our kitchen. We love coffee so much, why hide it away in our cabinets?
Here’s how we created ours:
And, not only is it the best finally having a proper coffee station, we also got it just in time for the chilly (also known as, my favorite) seasons of the year! Now that it’s cooling down in Atlanta, we’ve got guests visiting in advance of the holidays and can’t wait to show off our new homemade coffee station. If you’re thinking about grabbing one for yourself, do it before the holidays! You just can’t beat waking up on a chilly winter day and sipping on a hot cup of coffee.
Now that you know how we created our coffee station – how would you create yours? What’s one thing you’d love to display or perhaps a must-have for the best cup of coffee?
ps. I tried out this easy Spiced Iced Coffee recipe by Nespresso and it’s a winner!
