2019 home trends we’re positively loving
I haven’t shared too much “home” content, well, because I’m constantly moving! And, we’re looking to buy (fingers-crossed!) at some point in the next few years. So, we’re kind of waiting until then to overhaul our furniture and décor.
But, that doesn’t mean I’m not constantly bookmarking, saving, and online window shopping. I figure, hey, why not share some of my favorite trends for this year?
Here goes nothing, y’all.
Unique lighting
It doesn’t need to take (or cost!) a fortune to make a statement. This year, I’ve been loving seeing so many unique light fixtures popping up – like on Schoolhouse Electric. And, like the one that my dear friend Margaret is using in her sweet kitchen nook (pictured above).
Colorful kitchens
Have you seen Studio DIY’s kitchen reveal?! I love how colorful it is! Though, I’d have to admit, green in the kitchen is stealing my heart these days. Long gone are the days of dingy, dark wooden kitchens. Just saying. Sayonara!
Bold wallpaper
Isn’t it crazy to think about how popular wallpaper once was? Though, most of those prints weren’t exactly stellar. At least, not in modern day. But, wallpaper is back in a big way and there are SO many options for renters! Apartment Therapy even has a resource for renters looking for new wallpaper – boom.
Color-coded bookshelves
Sure, this may not be the most practical, but I LOVE color-coded bookshelves. I’ve been organizing my bookshelves by color for a few years now and it’s just so aesthetically pleasing, I can’t help myself!
I’ve seen two camps on this lately – one side that LOVES it, and one side that thinks it’s absolutely ludicrous. What side do you belong to?
