Heading to Atlanta anytime soon? Here are the 5 coffee shops in Atlanta to visit right now.

I first published a mini list of coffee shops in Atlanta last year, and realized I need to update it! There’s one or two that make an appearance in this list, but the others are new(ish) to the Atlanta coffee scene and 100% deserve a mention.

Here we go.

5 Coffee Shops in Atlanta to Visit Right Now

Hazel Jane’s

Hazel Jane’s just opened up in my neighborhood and living so close to it is dangerous. Not just because I love coffee. But, because I love wine and coffee; not in one cup, that sounds awful. It’s a wine bar that moonlights (or…daylights?) as a café in the mornings and early afternoons.

That’s right, you can enjoy some tasty Revelator coffee in the mornings and come 10 am (a bit early for me, but you do you) you can also order wine. They serve food starting at 11 am Tuesday – Sunday and let me just tell you, the little bits of their menu that I’ve tried thus far (they’re only on day 3, guys!) already have me craving more.

My favorite order: Iced chai with oat milk and later on, a glass of their house white with a side of ricotta fritters and honey.

DeKalb Athletic Club

DeKalb Athletic Club, or DAC for short, is the brainchild of the restaurant group that owns Victory – one of my favorite Atlanta restaurants. And, in fact, the first restaurant I visited in Atlanta about 6 years ago! Nifty, right? And, now I live right around the corner from DAC, what a dream come true.

DAC is technically in the lobby of a small building called The Dickey, which somehow means that dogs are allowed in. Yup, you can drink your coffee, eat a delicious biscuit, and also pet some dogs. What more could you want in a coffee shop?

My favorite order: Iced latte with oat milk, honey, and cinnamon with a side of salted chocolate chip cookie. Yup, that’s right. Oh and if you’re feeling salty, get a biscuit!

Cold Brew Bar

Cold Brew Bar hit Atlanta like an asteroid. It came in swinging and everyone fell in love. It’s a (better than) good café that also does good through Thrive Farmers, check them out. The food is excellent, the coffee is consistent and delicious, and the vibe is chill.

My favorite order: Garam masala latte with oat milk and a grilled corn avo toast on sourdough. GET THE TOAST. It’s fantastic and that’s an order.

Neighborhood Café at Parish

Parish is a two-for-one kind of deal. It boasts a lively restaurant on the main floor, and a charming café on the ground floor. It’s come to be one of our favorite spots in Atlanta; a place that feels like home away from home. The avo toast is HEAPING with fresh avocado and, well, their sandwiches are to die for. If you’re lucky and the weather’s just right, you can grab a spot at one of their Beltline patio tables and people/dog watch while you sit and eat.

My favorite order: Iced latte with coconut and avo toast with pickled red onions. Oh yeah, and grab a side of hash browns!

Chrome Yellow Trading Co.

Chrome Yellow is a far cry from Parish’s Central Perk vibes, but not in a bad way. The décor is simultaneously light and bright, with moody dark colors cohesively blending in. The coffee is top notch; as soon as you order you’ll notice that the team really knows their stuff. Plus, they make one killer vanilla bourbon latte.

My favorite order: Iced vanilla bourbon latte with oat milk
