5 Spring staples to snag while they’re still available
I don’t know what’s gotten in to me this season.
I cannot stop buying clothes!
It’s out of control. I know I need to stop, but the stores keep releasing the cutest new springtime collections and it’s cramping my wallet.
Sorry, wallet. I’m really sorry that my need for adorable new warm weather wear has done you wrong.
But….everything’s just so fun and flowy and…new.
Here are the 5 spring staples that I made sure to stock my closet with this season. I hope you love them as much as I do!
I end up walking around quite a bit in the spring and summer here in Atlanta (actually, it’s nice nearly year-round so I walk ALL the time). And, in the warmer months, it’s hard to wear sneakers everywhere (hi trusty Keds!) because my feet get SO hot. TMI? Oh well, it happens.
So, after searching for what feels like forever, I finally found a comfy pair of sandals that also happen to be a statement piece – these Miista sandals in yellow!
I just picked up my first pair of frayed white denim and I am OBSESSED. I’ll be packing them for my weekend trip to Newport, RI because I cannot imagine a more perfect pair of jeans for a trip to the coastal town in spring.
I found mine at LOFT, but I’m sure you can find similar jeans elsewhere, too. May the odds be ever in your favor.
I always love a good midi skirt. In my opinion, they’re the most versatile spring (and summer!) piece you can buy. You can dress them up, you can dress them down, you can wear them to pretty much any occasion which I LOVE. And, because I bike/walk nearly everywhere I go, I love using them for biking around town!
Have you ever tried biking in a mini skirt? It just doesn’t happen. Hence, why my closet is chock-full of midis.
Hot feet. Need me to say it a third time? Because, I totally will.
HOT FEET!
So, in summer, I stick to open-toed block sandal heels. I actually just ordered a yellow pair for that Newport wedding and already plan to wear them with lots of other outfits – ahem, midi skirts, ahem.
Okay, I’m cheating with this last one. Why? Because hair clips are great in ANY season. But, particularly great in spring and summer because I can’t stand having hair in my face when I’m already warm from being outside.
I found this circle clip and IMMEDIATELY ordered one. And, funny enough, so many people have already asked me about it! Who knew, right?
Well, you do, now.
One of the last spring staples I’m on the search for is a cropped white top with a tie-front to pair with my (many) midi skirts. If you spot one, I’d be so appreciative if you sent it my way!
