A festive Christmas Tree Farm Outing just in time for the start of December!
I don’t know about you, but I dived into Christmas pretty early this year. The week before Thanksgiving I was already listening to holiday music, planning where the tree would go, and even making copper holiday DIY place cards. I went all in and I don’t feel guilty about it at all.
We ‘shopped’ around for quite a bit, though I think we were entirely distracted by how ridiculously adorable the tiny trees were. While those clearly still need a few years to grow, I really wish I could have brought one of those tiny trees home. You know, like an accent Christmas tree for the bedroom or bathroom 😉
This was actually my first-ever visit to a real Christmas tree farm. Growing up we (nearly) always had a faux Christmas tree, though I didn’t mind it one bit because that meant we could set it up right after we finished eating Thanksgiving dinner! You know that feeling, right? The one where you literally can’t wait for something to happen? It’s kind of like that. Thanksgiving dinner: Check. Now get the Christmas tree & fully decorate it ASAP!
The past few years I’ve indulged and picked out real Christmas trees to bring home, and it’s my new favorite tradition. I love venturing out in the cold to pick out the tree we’ll be decorating for Christmas & hiding presents under. It may be just for the two of us, but I positively love it.
What’s your tradition? Do you pick up a real Christmas tree or do you have one at home ready to go year-round? We’ve got our tree up and decorated, but I’m still working on some fun DIY ornaments – stay tuned!

Such a fan adventure! I’ve missed the smell of fresh Christmas trees <3 ps that first gif was so so cute!
Thanks, Corina! It is such a magical scent, isn’t it? We love lighting balsam & cedar candles as well, to really ramp it up 😉
It’s crazy that you posted about this, because I was JUST researching christmas tree farms around Upstate NY! Such great photos!
So funny! I loved going to the Christmas tree farm, it was my first trip ever to a tree farm and I know I’ll certainly be going back next year, too!
These pics are amazing! Love your plaid! We go with a real tree too 🙂
