The dreamiest Barcelona coffee shop (at least I think so!)
If there’s one thing you know about me, it’s probably that I LOVE a good iced latte.
Now, imagine this:
You’re walking through the streets in Barcelona. It’s a sunny summer day in June. You’re craving iced coffee and a quick break from the unrelenting, oppressive sun. Your legs are a little tired and ready for a short reprieve.
Then, as you’re walking along, you stumble upon what appears to be the cutest plant shop you’ve ever seen.
Its stone walls are lined with small plants and succulents. The oversized tables just past the entrance are covered in plants from end to end. And, as you make your way towards the back of the shop, you realize it’s ALSO a coffee shop.
Imagine your luck. You found exactly what you were looking for and it just happens so happens to be in the sweetest plant shop called Espai Joliu.
I still think back to that hour or so we spent enjoying our coffee and snacks in Espai Joliu. It was our first full day in Barcelona – well, my first day ever in Barcelona, Tim had already been there – and we started it out in the best way possible.
Coffee and plants? Heck yes.
We loved our time in Barcelona, it was sweet, yet short. We happened to be there during midsummer (which was not expected and SO so much fun!), but more on that another time. I suppose when I finally get around to sharing that Barcelona City Guide! I’ll get to it eventually, I promise!
In the meantime, I hope you loved the photos of Espai Joliu as much as I loved being there. Here’s hoping we can get back to Barcelona real soon!
Are you heading to Barcelona soon? I’d love to hear what the number one spot is on your must-see/must-visit list!
