I once tried making cold brew iced coffee and there was nothing easy about it. I was mixing the grinds with cold water in a large mason jar, then letting it sit overnight – sure sounds easy enough right now. But then, I had to slowly strain it out into a bowl via a strainer and coffee filters. Ridiculous. It was such a hassle for cold coffee! I gave it a few more tries and simply gave up. It wasn’t worth the effort.
So, when T. suggested we simply use our french press (that we’re already using on a daily basis) to make cold brew iced coffee. One word: Brilliant! I know I probably could have looked that up online, but whatever. We gave it a try and it was SO easy!
Seriously, the easiest way to make cold brew iced coffee. And I love cold brew iced coffee. Okay, that sounds pretentious. I love any kind of iced coffee, no matter what season it is. For real. Perhaps you’re not familiar with much of the Northeast’s obsession with iced coffee. Let me clue you in. For example, in the middle of 2014’s destructive, frigid weather, I still enjoyed iced coffee. And not just at home – I’d go and GET the iced coffee and bring it home.
Sounds absurd to you, but delicious to me 😉

Not a coffee drinker, but I still admire your gorgeous photos! As usual 😉
You’re the best! My guy always makes fun of me because I get coffee once in a while…but it’s always decaf 😉
