If you’ve been here for a while, you know about my move to Atlanta.
You also know that my fiancé (and soon-to-be husband!) and I moved here together simply because we loved the city. We loved the vibe, the food, the people, and so much more.
What you might not know is that when we moved here, we knew less than 5 people between the two of us. No joke!
Moving to a new(ish) city as an adult is NOT easy, and yet we weren’t worried for a minute. What was once a city full of people we had yet to meet, became a city of so many friends. More friends than we could have imagined meeting in our first year in Atlanta. Acquaintances soon blossomed into close friends that we can’t remember a time without. I think that’s when you know that a city is right for you and that you are right for that city.
In a city full of new friends who feel like old friends in the best way possible, we’re so lucky to have a group to celebrate Friendsgiving with! And, to bring you two of my favorite recipes for Friendsgiving this year, I paired up with William Hill Estate and Mirassou.
Not only am I sharing two of my favorite easy Friendsgiving recipes, I’m also sharing a wine pairing to make planning that much easier.
For this year, we’re going easy breezy. I find that when I’m hosting, I really get much too ambitious and spend so much time in the kitchen. I also make a mess; so it’s not ideal when guests start arriving and there are dishes on literally every inch of my countertops.
So this year is all about enjoying the time with your friends, basking in the cozy meal, and taking stock of everything you’re grateful for.
This year, I tried out a Cranberry-Goat Cheese Spread with honey, balsamic vinegar, thyme, and of course cranberries. It took little to no prep, and it baked in the oven for 30 minutes! So easy. You can even throw this one in the oven while your guests arrive. That’ll give them time to get settled in, grab a glass of wine, and catch up for a few minutes before the delectable cheese dish is ready to devour.
Which, while we’re chatting about wine – try pairing this easy Friendsgiving recipe with William Hill Estate’s Chardonnay for your white wine-drinking guests and an easy Cranberry Sangria with Mirassou Pinot Noir for your friends who are feeling red wine that night.
If you’re up for giving these a go and uncorking a great feast (which you should because they’re delicious and SO darn easy!), you can grab the full recipes right over here at uncorkagreatfeast.com.
Now, as you prepare for the cozy Friendsgiving/Thanksgiving season, what have been your go-to recipes in the past?
