I really enjoy whiskey.

Now.

Not as in I need it right now, but that I didn’t always enjoy whiskey. I thought it was too harsh of a spirit, and well – I liked those good ‘ol sweet sugary drinks. Malibu Ginger in college bars? Yeah, that was me. Oh and pineapple juice? Even better.

Though with time, my tastes have changed. And, I’m sure yours have, too! It’s only natural. Like how naturally good this Gingery Whiskey Sour cocktail recipe is.

It’s okay, even if you’re not a huge whiskey fan this one’s an easy sip. And it’s still sweet thanks to the ginger simple syrup. So what I’m saying is that you should give it a try even if you aren’t totally sold on whiskey just yet.

I’m going to let you in on a little secret, because we’re all friends here, right? Well, I’ve enjoyed my fair share of old fashioned cocktails and other various whiskey drinks (does that still remind anyone else of Chumbawumba or is that just me?) and yet, I JUST had my first whiskey sour last month.

Yes, it’s true. I clearly didn’t not know what I was missing out on! I ended up ordering another one after drinking mine entirely too quickly. I like to savor my cocktails, but this one was so good that I dived in faster than I realized. Oops.

What other holiday cocktails are you enjoying this year? I’m so behind on holiday celebrations! You see, it’s still in the 60s here in Atlanta, Georgia and that’s just not the holiday season I’m used to. It’s SO warm, not that I should be complaining.
