Big news, y’all – I’m heading to Vietnam!
This post + the trip is sponsored by our friends at Club Adventures.
All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This trip has been in the works for a few months now and I cannot tell you how ecstatic I am to finally be able to share the news with you.
In just over a month I’m heading to Vietnam.
Not only is this my first trip to Vietnam, it’s my first trip to Asia! I can’t even believe I get to go – how lucky am I?
This trip is the brainchild of a (brilliant, if I do say so myself) team over at Club Adventures. They dreamed up a program in which women can travel together, safely and comfortably. Everyone, I’d like you to meet the Women Explorers program which offers adventure travel curated with women in mind.
While I’m jumping on the Vietnam Food & Culture trip, the Women Explorers program has SO many incredible trips lined up – like Morocco, Budapest, Sri Lanka, Eastern Europe (I want IN on the Eastern Europe trip, who’s with me?!) and more.
We’ve got an impressive Vietnam itinerary on deck, and with plentiful time to explore at our own pace. I love that even though I’ll be traveling with a group, I have time to do and see anything I’d like built into our schedule. We have that “just right” amount of scheduled activities to alone time balance.
Days 1 -4
We’re kicking things off in Hanoi, where we’ll indulge in some street food exploration, temple visits, and a visit out to Ninh Binh where we’ll be taking a leisurely bike ride and enjoying meals in local homes along the way.
Days 4 -6
From Hanoi we take a short flight down to Hue – the imperial capital of Vietnam. We’ll see the Hue countryside and take a cruise down the Perfume River (intrigued? So am I!).
Days 6-8
On day 6 we’ll be making our way to Hoi An for a night to explore the temple ruins of My Son Sanctuary and a casual river cruise.
Days 8 – 10
Next up is our final destination – or destinations, rather. We fly from Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City for our last few days in Vietnam. We’ll explore the former headquarters for the Viet Cong, travel by boat to the Mekong Delta where we’ll be paddling in sampans, sampling tropical fruits on a tuk-tuk, and soaking in our last few days in Vietnam.
Whew, it’s going to be a whirlwind trip and I cannot wait to share more about the experience here and on Instagram.
ps. Have YOU been to Vietnam? Please share anything and everything!
