Today it’s all about the chef in your life. Or the pseudo-chef. Semantics.
If you need inspiration, hopefully you’ll find something in today’s gift. And it’s December, which means the holidays are almost here. It also means that I’ll be listening to Christmas music all. day. long.
Also shopping. I didn’t take advantage of cyber Monday like I should have (or shouldn’t…my bank account is probably thanking me). But, there’s always tomorrow! Or today, rather.
I digress. Back to the gift guide!
no. 1: Fishs Eddy has, quite possibly, some of the best kitchen accoutrements. If you don’t believe me, just take a peek at this adorable retro timer.
no. 2: Dish towels, while “dish” is in the name, they’re quite versatile. The chef in your family (or friend group!) can use them to dress up a dining room table, fold up to use as napkins, or….to actually dry dishes!
no. 3: Maybe it’s just me, but I hate leaving my cookbooks on the counter when I’m cooking, I always find that I end up putting it on top of at least one ingredient that has ended up there. And usually it’s sticky, like jam (of course). So, gift a cookbook stand this year and help your friend avoid the mess!
no. 4: This apron by Schoolhouse Electric, though. It’s actually on my wish list, too! Plus – pockets.
no. 5: I love using fresh ginger in everything from veggie dinners to green smoothies. However, I hate the grating part of it. Luckily, Fishs Eddy has an easy to use porcelain ginger grater! And it’s multipurpose! Think, cheese and garlic – two of the best ingredients.
no. 6: Homemade pasta is the ultimate cold weather meal, right? Gift a ravioli stamp so the chef in your life can whip some up right at home. And then so you can join for dinner, right?
no. 7: A 1950s-inspired scale adds a pop of color to the kitchen, and it’s useful. Can’t beat that.
no. 8: I’ve had my eyes on this Sunday Suppers book for some time now. I’m all about the no-fuss recipes and well, communal dining just sounds so lovely.
no. 9: T. and I have been on the hunt for the perfect copper measuring cups, because who doesn’t need a set of beautiful copper measuring cups?
Are you shopping for a “chef” this year? What’s on your list?

Love those copper measuring cups! If only I had a kitchen that “inspires” me. That’s the excuse I use for never using my gadgets/cooking on a regular basis 😉
Aren’t they perfect? Hopefully your kitchen starts bringing you some inspiration, soon!
