Hi! It feels like it’s been forever, even though it really hasn’t.
But it feels like it. It really does.
Maybe it’s because I’ve been posting a bit less (I’ll share why). And, I’ve been horrible about keeping up with my favorite blogs – I promise y’all, I’ll catch back up soon!
Let’s start with the new city: Atlanta has been totally amazing. I get to set my own schedule (which, yes, can be glamorous occasionally. I mean rarely); I’m lucky enough to be meeting amazing people down here; I’ve been making my way around the city (or rather, the best cafés and restaurants – can you blame me?; and I’m pushing myself to explore my capabilities and learn new things – like portraiture! I’ve been gallivanting around the city with new friends who are so kind as to let me practice shooting with them. Let me just say, direction for shooting portraits is no joke! Have any age-old tips? Do share! Please!
As 2017 progresses, it’s simply getting better and better. I’ve prioritized my health and my goals this year, and I’ve never felt better. I’m eating better, I’m much more active, and I’m working and collaborating with the best of the best. I’ve been working smarter, not harder, to the best of my ability. There’s always room to improve, but when I think about where I was last year at this time, the changes are palpable.
While my freelance and consulting work has been on the up and up all year (so incredible grateful!), my content here has been slowly, but surely, minimizing. BUT I’m not all about that. I love writing and I love sharing my life and creations with you, right here. So, I’ll hopefully be back on my A game soon and back to publishing 3 days per week. Hope you’ll stick around!
Now it’s your turn – think about where you were last year. How does it compare to this very moment? Where have you taken major strides? Where do you need to put forth more effort? For me, it’s all about figuring out my own brand and my own business – that’s my fall and winter 2017 project and I cannot wait to see where it leads me!
