We’ve had the same tv stand for years. In fact, it was my husband’s tv stand back when he lived in his own place and I was still living in Boston. Sure, it did the job, but it wasn’t a piece of furniture that I loved.
And, while I know it may not be the biggest deal, it wasn’t fun to look at furniture every day that I couldn’t stand. Especially now that we’re home almost every single moment. So, I teamed up with Wayfair to create a little joy at home featuring a living room furniture refresh.
One single piece makes a huge difference. And, we knew exactly what living room furniture we wanted to update: Our old gray metal tv stand.
It was time! It just had to go.
Naturally, Wayfair was my go-to. I spent nearly two hours looking through options because there were so many that fit my search. I was on the hunt for the perfect mid-century modern TV stand that had both open shelving and drawers. It also had to be made from solid wood, preferably a lighter color wood.
And here she is!
The winner was the Gervais TV Stand. It’s made from solid pine wood and has the most perfect caramel stain on it. It’s long enough to be able to decorate the top outside of our TV, but not so long that it looks silly in our little one-bedroom apartment.
It feels so much better each morning; I usually wake up quite early to read out in our living room, and it feels like a completely refreshed space even though we made just one update.
