Introducing the new Local Gem series with Tres Gatos in Jamaica Plain, Boston!
I like a little bit of everything.
Give me some variety. I’m not into monotony.
Or having to choose just one menu item, for that matter.
So, having a local tapas spot is divine. Having a local tapas spot that’s BEYOND delicious is absolute heaven.
Tres Gatos in Jamaica Plain, which is this super quirky and downright funky neighborhood in Boston, is SO. DARN. GOOD.
Everytime I go I love everything. And that’s saying something. I’m a tough judge on food, and Tres Gatos sets the bar high.
Not to mention, Tres Gatos is this cozy little spot illuminated with candles and vibrant with constant laughs and chatter. It’s also got a record and book store in the back. How dreamy, right? Like – come on in for a table and while you’re waiting peruse the tiny bookstore for your latest read. If you like fiction, might I also suggest reading Maria Semple’s recently released title, Today Will Be Different?
Tres Gatos is off the beaten path and I love it. If you’re visiting Boston (or if you live here!), I highly recommend a visit to JP. It’s got the neighborhood feel and it’s only a few short train stops away from the heart of the city.
And, if you’re visiting Tres Gatos, make sure to grab a cocktail (….or three!) and try their Bocadillo. It changes frequently and it’s better and better every time. Just do it. You won’t regret it. In fact, you’ll probably order a second!
