Remember when I shared my new apartment wish list? Well, we’re finally here. T. has officially moved in!
Which means we really did nix the LDR and he’s back in Boston for good….or at least for a year when we hopefully find a new city to love.
My friends keep asking “how is it?” and I think because it was such a drastic change – 1000 miles to literally sitting right next to me – they expect I’m going to say “rough” or “a difficult adjustment.”
However, it’s been wonderful! Having my guy back here is the best. It’s the little things you know, like having someone to start dinner when I’m stuck at work or being able to grocery shop together (food is obviously on my mind).
While it’s been positively great having him back, it is in fact an adjustment. We’re combining all of our things and figuring out what to keep, sell, or give away. I’m not always the best at communicating, so I had to get better at that when he moved to Atlanta, now I have to get better at it in a different way…like being able to say nicely that no, I don’t like that piece of furniture instead of simply saying “ew, it has to go.”
It’s a learning process you guys, for real.
Anyways, the apartment is nowhere near done yet, T. just moved in two weeks ago, with his stuff getting here shortly after. Plus, our work schedules are so demanding that unpacking by the time we get home is a struggle…a real struggle.
Luckily, I was able to move in a few weeks before T. so at least I had the chance to put away my things so that it didn’t look like World War III up in here.
Slowly, but surely, we’re putting together our furniture, placing it where it’s actually going to go in the apartment, so on and so forth. But, as I’m sure you’ve guessed – I cannot wait to get to the decorating and DIY part! We need to get everything put away so that we have space for DIYing – I get it, but I am so darn excited.
Have you found any new home DIY projects? Do share! We’re always on the search for another project.

All of the detail shots are just gorgeous! Off topic, but how do you like your Crosley? I can’t make a decision on it because all the reviews simply say it’s just not that great. I just love the way they look!
Thank you so much, Meghan! I love my Crosley. For the price, it definitely does the trick. I also like that I didn’t need to buy the speakers, etc. – it’s all built right in!

I LOVE it! Especially the shelving!
Thank you!! IKEA for the win, right? 😉

I love how cozy all of these pictures are!
Congratulations! It’s definitely an adjustment, but mostly a fun one I think! After the LDR it is so nice to just say “see you at home!” and not plan it out two weeks in advance. Apartment is looking on point by the way!
Thank you, Arielle! It’s been so much fun getting settled in our new place. It’s crazy not to have to wait two months to see each other now 🙂

Super cute! I love how bright and pretty your place is so far. I know how exciting it is to move in with your guy! Decorating is so much fun. 🙂
Thanks so much, Amanda! We’re getting there, slowly but surely 🙂
