A peachy Italian spritz to round out summer.
This post is sponsored by W&P Design, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Summer’s not over, y’all.
Though I’m technically cursing summer now because it is still H-O-T in Atlanta.
Like fry an egg on the pavement hot. Which, in my book, is TOO darn hot.
Alas, because we need to cool down one way or the other, I chose the spritz way.
With, you guessed it, this Peachy Italian Spritz.
I worked with my brilliant new friends over at W&P Design to create this one with three of their ridiculously well-designed products:
So basically this is a cocktail you can take on the road, if you catch my drift. Not actually on the road because we do not condone drinking and driving, but you know what I mean.
The grand cru of this cocktail is the peach cayenne ice cube.
Yes, you heard me right. Peach cayenne. That means it’s a little sweet and a little spicy. Basically all I ever want in the summer.
It’s also one of those cocktails where the syrup does all the work for you. So, really, all you have to do is pour, stir, and enjoy.
I suppose that’s after making the ice cube. But that’s also easy as pie. Here’s the recipe in case you’d like to make your own.
Two peaches, peeled & roughly chopped
1 cup water
Dash of cayenne
Italian Spritz Syrup
One grapefruit, juiced
Prosecco
Rosemary, for your garnish
*Makes 2 servings
1. You’ll want to prep your ice cube ahead of time, for obvious reasons. Simply throw your peaches, cayenne, and water in a blender and blend until combined. If it isn’t as thin as you like, continue adding water.
2. Pour into ice molds and let freeze.
3. Once your ice cubes are done, make your drink by mixing your syrup, juice from grapefruit, and prosecco in your glass. Then, add the ice cube and garnish with a sprig of rosemary.
I told you this Italian Spritz would cool you down! Especially because as your ice cube melts, it adds more flavor instead of watering it down. Ta da!
