A Pomegranate Apple Fizz cocktail recipe perfect for the festive winter holiday weekend!
Eek! It’s almost here! You know what I’m talking about….CHRISTMAS! I cannot wait. If you couldn’t tell by my festive ‘grams, I’m all about the holiday festivities. And today, it’s all about stirring up a cheery wintery cocktail just in time for the holidays. This one packs a tasty punch with the pomegranate juice and some subtle sweetness thanks to the grenadine.
I always wish for a white Christmas, though this year it just looks like we’re going to have a rainy Christmas Eve. It’s okay, I’ll take it, because we’ve got lots of driving ahead of us on Christmas Day and safety comes first, y’all. Also, my snow dances and sleeping with my pajamas inside out haven’t seemed to work in the past.
Who else is like me this year and is SUPER behind in holiday prep? Good, I’m not alone (this is me assuming a few of you are raising your hands as you read this – and if you are, thanks! And also good luck). Well, luckily I’m bringing this tasty Pomegranate Apple Fizz recipe to you just in time! I made it under the wire with this one – success.
1 part apple brandy
3 parts pomegranate juice
1 tablespoon grenadine
Club soda
Fresh thyme & pomegranate seeds for garnish
1. Combine apple brandy, pomegranate juice, and grenadine in a shaker.
2. Add ice and shake for 10 seconds.
3. Pour into glasses and add ice.
4. Top off with a bit of club soda.
5. Make a thyme wreath by wrapping up one or two stems in a circle, and tying the ends off with another stem.
6. Garnish with thyme & pomegranate seeds.
How are you celebrating the holidays? Do you travel or stay put? We’re lucky – we just have to hop in the car and go!
