I am so ready for the winter to spring transition. Although, I never quite know what to wear. Every time spring is on the horizon, I have a mini freak out and this is what goes through my head:
There are many more, but I won’t bore you. It’s such a confusing time of the year, but I love it. The crisp mornings, the cool evenings, and the sunny afternoons have me swooning for April and May. Then BAM. It’s 85 degrees and that’s much too hot for me.
So, I’ll savor this time of the year before that happens. That’s all you can do, right? Live in the moment, yada yada yada. To do just that, I planned a brunch and spring photoshoot with two of my gals. Luckily it was sunny, but while they’re here in their florals and pink, it wasn’t quite spring transition weather yet.
In fact, these two were straight up troopers. OG troopers, for sure. They braved the 30 degree (YES, 30 degrees, you read that right) weather to let me take photos of them outside. They’re the best.
And we all somehow managed to match in pink. Adorable, amiright? I think we did pretty well for the winter to spring transition! We had a mix of flats, boots, denim, pixie pants (J.Crew, duh), blush pink, florals, stripes……and jackets because it was still only 30 degrees.
We did however luck out with the sun! Us: 1, Nature: 20.
Regardless, there were eggs benedict, lots of laughs, and shopping involved. Not a bad “spring” day by any means. I also jumped in on the fun with my new Matt & Nat bag, which I’m inseparable with. It’s too perfect, and now I need 3 more. Yes, approximately 3 more.
Kelly: Torrid sweater / Torrid jeans / necklace / earrings (custom) / shoes (similar) / bag (similar)
Mallory: Anthropologie sweater (no longer sold) / Anthropologie jeans / Urban Outfitters top (no longer sold) / Frye boots (no longer sold) / J.Crew purse
Gabi (me!): J.Crew cardigan / ASOS scarf (similar) / LOFT tee (similar) / J.Crew pixie pants / Keds / Matt & Nat bag (similar) / Penfield jacket (similar)
How do you dress for the spring transition? Do you have a go-to item?

I love all these outfits — exactly my style. I am a jeans and sweater kind of girl!
As I transition to spring I start to put my boots aside and break out my flats. Similarly I put away my heavy coat and grab a lighter jacket and throw on a scarf. So happy that warm weather is finally on its way!
