What comes to mind when you think of a housewarming gift? My mind immediately goes to picking up a bottle of wine to celebrate the occasion. Not that wine is a bad gift, wine is always welcome in my home. However, let’s get a little more creative here! I’ve been a fan of McCrea’s Candies since the first time I tried one of their delectable caramels. They are easily the best caramels I’ve ever had, and while T. doesn’t typically love caramels, he put it perfectly – “they’re the caramels for people who don’t like caramels.” Yes, they’re that good! So, I’m partnering up with my friends at McCrea’s to bring you a new gifting idea – a rosemary housewarming gift. Or rather, an herb housewarming gift inspired by McCrea’s Candies’ Rosemary Truffle Sea Salt caramels. Yup, that’s a thing. And it’s d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s.
You don’t have to create a full herb garden by any means, but gifting fresh herbs is such a fun way to celebrate a housewarming party. You should be able to find everything you need at a local nursery, flower shop, or maybe even your grocery store! We picked up our rosemary plant and fresh rosemary at Allandale Farm, right outside of Boston. The little bucket is from IKEA, and you can order the caramels right online. An easy, affordable rosemary housewarming gift.
And for the gift that keeps on giving, we picked up a few packets of seeds. That way, if your friends do want to plant their own indoor herb garden, they can! Not that they couldn’t go out and buy the seeds on their own, but now you cut that step out for them. There are plenty to choose from, but I’d suggest trying out some fun microgreens!
Have you tried McCrea’s Candies yet? How else do you like to incorporate caramels in your cooking and/or gifting? I’m thinking a tasty caramel-topped cookie might be in my near future.
ps. there might be a little giveaway coming your way this evening. Make sure you’re following along on Instagram!

This is such a great idea! So different than other housewarming gift ideas I’ve seen.
