Where to shop small in Atlanta for the holidays (and beyond!)
If you know anything about me, you know it’s that I love shopping small and supporting small business owners. I do that both when I’m spending my own money but also when I’m working with my clients.
Also you might know that I love tacos, but that’s a whole other thing.
There’s nothing like seeing a small business owner/creative entrepreneur/another term you prefer succeed. My family owns small businesses and I love hearing about their wins. And, I love seeing all the wins for my clients and for my favorite local shops.
With the holiday spirit in mind, and obviously my love for shopping local, here’s where to shop small in Atlanta for the holidays.
Brave and Kind Bookshop. A neighborhood bookshop for the littles, does it get any cuter than Brave and Kind Bookshop?
East Pole. You may remember East Pole from this post about the best cafés in Atlanta, but even if you don’t, it’s still a great spot for gifts. Or rather, gift, as in…coffee. Imagine finding local coffee under the tree just in time for Christmas morning? A perfect way to start the day, if you ask me.
Citizen Supply. A longtime favorite of ours. Citizen Supply is located in Ponce City Market and has some of the best (local!) gifts out there. Plus, you can treat yourself to lunch while you’re there! Botiwalla is my favorite, if you’re looking for recs 😉
The Merchant. Another local gem, The Merchant is located at another Atlanta staple – Krog Street Market. My favorite is all of the kitchen accoutrements, seasonal candles, and cookbooks they’ve got on hand. I could spend HOURS in there.
Chrome YellowChrome Yellow. Again, another repeat offender in the quaint, local shop category. is part café, part local shop and if that’s not a dream spot I don’t know what is.
Treehouse Milk. Treehouse Milk produces all of their own nutmilk right here in Atlanta, actually only about 3 miles from where I live! Talk about fresh, right? And good news for you, you can still snag some Treehouse even if you don’t live in Atlanta because they SHIP!
Xocolatl. Local chocolate available in their shop in Krog Street Market (and beyond – like in Citizen Supply). Also, spoiler alert, they’re all delicious. I know that doesn’t help you narrowing down your gift ideas, but I felt obliged to tell you.
Read Shop. Oh! And while you’re at Krog, pop across the walkway to Read Shop, the sweetest little book nook I’ve ever seen.
Young Blood Boutique. I’ve stopped by Young Blood Boutique a couple of times and each time it’s like a breath of fresh air.
The Beehive. The Beehive is a favorite back from when Tim was living in Atlanta the first time – yes, that one time we had a long-distance relationship for a year and a half (whew, glad that’s over and now we live in the same place!). He’s purchased a handful of sweet gifts from The Beehive for me, and I love going there together to shop around for local finds. Definitely a gem for holiday shopping!
Le Jardin Francais. If you’re looking for flowers for the holidays, or even if you’re simply looking for every day flowers, shop Le Jardin Francais. They’ve got a beautiful boutique in West Midtown and the sweetest outpost in Ponce City Market right near Hop’s.
Joseph and Co. Joseph and Co.Joseph and Co. was a recent discovery – we stopped in for coffee and snacks and oh my goodness we could have stayed all day! is one of the most beautiful boutiques I’ve stepped into here in Atlanta and I know you won’t be disappointed.
Now it’s your turn to spill – where are you shopping local this season? Tell me on Instagram so I can give them a little shout-out, too!
