As I write this, I realize that I have not yet created a spring-ready bedroom in my home and it’s going to drive me crazy. If you’re ready for a fresh start, aka jumping into spring, here are 5 easy steps for creating that spring-ready bedroom you’ve been lusting for.
Creating a Spring-Ready Bedroom
There’s nothing like warmer temps and fresh air after winter. We were quite lucky here in Boston compared to last year, when we received 110″ inches of snow in ONE winter. I kid you not, here’s proof (and this is before the major snowstorms).
The new season means a fresh start and spring cleaning, so why not start with your bedroom? Jump in with these five easy steps.
A new mirror: Sure, this might be me being obsessed with everything at Lulu & Georgia, but it’s also about capturing that natural light. Hanging a wall mirror in your bedroom isn’t only for being able to check your makeup or creating the illusion that your space is bigger than it really is (although this is quite handy), it’s also going to reflect the natural light your windows let in. Shop: Lorraine Mirror
Quality shams: Treat yo’self with new bedding. I know I need to, I think mine are from Target circa 2014. Though I’m not knocking Target because it is basically my mecca, use spring as an excuse to pick up new bedding – like these gorgeous shams from Crane and Canopy. Shop: Hayes Nova Soft White
5 Minute Journal: I started writing in my 5 Minute Journal every day and love it. I find that I’m much more appreciative of what I have because I’m taking stock every morning when I wake up and every night right before heading to bed. It does only takes 5 minutes, but it makes a huge difference. Shop: 5 Minute Journal
Calming blues: There is something so calming about cool blue hues in the bedroom. Incorporate it in your spring-ready bedroom with a decorative pillow. Shop: Navy Blue Cloud Throw Pillow
Fresh blooms: Really though, fresh blooms might be the best way to make your bedroom spring-ready. They add fresh scents and vibrant colors, and you can start with a small bouquet! I typically pick up baby’s breath and one to two larger flowers. No need to go all out.
What are some steps you’re taking to make your bedroom spring-ready? I’m wanting to head over to Crane and Canopy and totally overhaul my bedding!
I definitely need to spruce up my home for Spring! It’s wayyyyy too dark!!! =) Thanks for the spring inspiration!
I’m feeling the same way! I’m so glad you found some inspiration here! I’m so ready for fresh flowers and new sheets 🙂
