A tasty floral Strawberry Rose Margarita recipe.
There’s little I love more than margaritas. But, give me a f l o r a l margarita and I’m happy. Top it off with fresh herbs and oh boy have you really hit the spot now.
To be totally honest, this Strawberry Rose Margarita is easily getting me through the week. I whipped one up for myself last night and promptly started drinking it entirely too fast. Well really, I whipped up two for the recipe then combined them into one glass and finished it off. #notsorry
Can you blame me, though? This marg had it all. It was basically spring in a glass and I loved every moment of it. No shame whatsoever.
Cocktails that can be made with the shake of a…shaker…are my FAVORITE kinds of cocktails. It means that the steps to make said cocktail are fairly minimal. As in, throw everything in a shaker and do just that – that baby up. This one requires one extra step, but it’s worth it because it turns your strawberries into the star of this margarita recipe. Well, not that they weren’t already.
4 parts tequila
4 parts freshly chopped strawberries
1 part simple syrup
1 part lime juice
Small handful of dried edible roses
Fresh basil
1. Muddle strawberries in tumbler with simple syrup, basil, and lime juice.
2. Add tequila, edible roses, and ice.
3. Shake for 15 seconds.
4. Pour into glasses and add ice.
5. Garnish with fresh basil and enjoy!
*Makes 2 servings

Margaritas always make me think of holidays and strawberries are all summer and tennis so this is definitely getting me into the mood for a sunny getaway. I think mint and lemon are my favourite spring flavours so refreshing!
