I have some long overdue news to share with you.
If the title of this post didn’t give it away (which it really should have), here it is:
I’m one of Style Me Pretty’s newest Blogger Brides! Eek!
If you asked me a year ago if I thought I’d be featured on Style Me Pretty, the answer would be a resounding no. I felt like getting engaged was both right around the corner and also an eternity away. Speaking of which, who else felt like this before getting engaged? The anxiety! I felt like every weekend could have been it, and then Tim proposed on one of the only weekends I was sure it wouldn’t happen.
Anyway, here we are 8 months later (almost to the day!) and time has flown by. We’re making headway on planning our wedding, which is making it feel really…..real. I kept joking that we were ‘fake’ engaged simply because we planned to take a while before jumping in to planning the big day. But don’t worry, we are ‘real’ engaged.
Style Me Pretty: What’s a Blogger Bride?
Yes, I too, asked myself that same question. Or rather, I asked myself: “What does it mean to be a Style Me Pretty Blogger Bride?”
First, I have to start from the beginning and tell you that it was all Kelly Golia’s idea. I’m throwing her under the bus in the best way possible. She saw Style Me Pretty had posted on Instagram that they were looking for new blogger brides. And the wonderful friend that she is, she sent it to me and encouraged me to throw my name in the ring.
Again – there I was doubting that I’d even stand a chance. Yet, then the email arrived in my inbox like it was meant to be all along. They had picked me!
Long story short, now I’m on board for sharing monthly features about our wedding planning and all the fun (and some of the not-so-fun stuff) that comes with it. But lucky for me, it’s been almost all fun for us. We have the best friends and vendors (who I wouldn’t even call vendors, but rather the wonderful and talented people we have the opportunity to work with), which makes planning that much more enjoyable.
