A Friday before a long weekend is THE best. Am I right, or am I right? While I’m staying here in Boston this Fourth of July (for the first time ever), I’m so excited to spend the weekend outside! We’ve got kayaking, a BBQ, pool party, and fireworks on the list. We’ll be spending the weekend with family and friends and I can’t wait to actually step away from my screen.
It’ll be like a mini digital detox. Sure, I’ll have my phones (yes, plural) on me, but I’m going to step away this weekend. I’m going to put my phone down, get away from my computers (yes, also plural) and enjoy this red, white, and blue-filled weekend. I’m going to indulge in burgers, yard games, and cannon-balling into the pool. Is that even how you make that a verb? Who cares. Not this girl because it’s Friday and I’m coming for ya, long weekend! And here I am – clearly enthused about this cocktail and the weekend, despite my lack of makeup and wild mess that I call my hair.
And if there’s a little something something that can make this long weekend even more magnificent, it’s a tasty cocktail! One that you can easily whip up at home or on the go. For real, I brought the ingredients for these to a campsite and whipped them up for T’s family. No joke. They surely were a crowd pleaser. Fresh mint, sugar, and grapefruit – you just can’t go wrong! Unless you don’t like grapefruit, in which case, I highly recommend pineapple. YUM.
Want to make your own summer grapefruit mojito? It’s pretty darn easy. Much easier than you think! Here’s how.
Thinking about whipping up your own? Go for it! And let me know how it goes with #bygabriellaco 😊. Happy happy 4th of July! If you’re in need of a last minute snack to serve your guests, this Easy 4th of July Crostini might be just what you’re looking for.
