Hey! It’s Friday! Time to celebrate with a Summer Rosé Sangria. Truth be told, I’m not a big rosé fan. I’ve ordered it while out for dinner before and immediately regretted it. I took a sip and remembered how much more I prefer a peppery red (any other syrah fans here?). But, I’m a fan of second chances, so I gave the summery pink wine another shot.
For Memorial Day weekend, we had a three part weekend of sorts. We trekked out to the Cape for a day of camping – aka a day of grilling and enjoying cocktails outdoors; went out to western Massachusetts to visit with my family; then we came back to Boston for a friends BBQ on Monday! Oh you know, the same day we also celebrated this special pup’s 21st birthday! Also, does anyone else automatically capital the “weekend” in Memorial Day weekend? As if the whole weekend is a formal holiday? I suppose it’s due to our nature of now calling it MDW for short, because we have to make everything an acronym. Oh well, not trying to fight it.
It’s summer…almost, but it doesn’t really feel like it yet. It’s been hot, then cold, then hot again, then storming in Boston. We’ve been trying to get outdoors as much as possible, and are finally heading out for our first beach day this Saturday with fellow blogger friend, Kristin! If you’re heading to the beach or perhaps staying in and unwinding this weekend – I’d highly suggest this sweet, fresh Summer Rosé Sangria.
Whether it feels like (almost) summer or not where you are, this Summer Rosé Sangria is sure to perk up your day. It’s sweet and not too strong – so of course, perfect for relaxing on a warm Friday afternoon. Enjoy it on its own, or perhaps with a few small bites? Snack meals are my favorite and this Asparagus and Bacon Tart is on my list! How about you? What do you treat yourself to on Friday nights?
Happy weekend! What do you have planned?

Delicious! Rose and sangria! My two favorite things. Gorgeous photos as usual 🙂
Thank you thank you! Summer sangria is definitely at the top of my list when it comes to warm weather beverages.
