It’s Super Bowl Sunday and I’ve got a sweet surprise for you last-minute shoppers – a Truffle Mascarpone Dessert recipe!
I’m one of those people. I watch the Super Bowl for the commercials, the halftime show (or rather, to be able to keep up with conversation & social media about the halftime show), and most notably – the snacks. My go-tos typically include an ultra cheesy buffalo chicken dip, pizza of some sort, and some more dip for good measure.
What you’ll learn about me, if you’re not already aware, is that I love condiments and dips. Sounds weird, I know. But, I love them! Give me a french onion dip and I’m satisfied. Perhaps a small bowl of queso? YES PLEASE! I don’t know what it is, I’m just such a big fan.
However, by the time I’m done indulging in those savory, salty snacks, I’m craving something decadently sweet. Though, I somehow never think to get desserts. It’s all cheesy, savory goodness on Super Bowl Sunday for this gal. This year, I’m fixing that. Better yet? I’m fixing that with these truffle mascarpone desserts, which you can whip up with less than 5 ingredients! #thebest
So, if you’re a last-minute Super Bowl shopper like me, then this Truffle Mascarpone Dessert has got YOUR name on it. Pick one or make both – either way, all you’ll need are a few ingredients that you can find at any grocery store.
4 LINDOR Sea Salt Truffles
2 tablespoons mascarpone
1 cup raspberries
1. Spread the mascarpone around one side of your plate.
2. Chop up half of your raspberries and add them to the other side of your plate, along with the whole raspberries and one truffle.
3. Melt down the rest of your truffles by microwaving for ~30 seconds. Make sure to check on them so they don’t burn! Then, drizzle that over your mascarpone & raspberries.
* Makes one
4 LINDOR Fudge Swirl Truffles
1/2 cup pretzels, crushed
2 tablespoons mascarpone
1/4 green apple
1. Spread the mascarpone around the center of your plate.
2. Chop up or slice your green apple and place on your plate.
3. Add the crushed pretzels.
4. Melt down your truffles and drizzle that over your mascarpone, apple, & pretzels.
* Makes one
So, there are two different ways to go about this particular apple & fudge swirl dessert. I made it both ways and didn’t necessarily have a preference, but you might! The first way is to melt down the truffles, then freeze them for about 15 minutes (this made it easier to grate, at least for me), and grate them over your plate. The second way is to simply melt the truffles down and drizzle the chocolate over your plate.
How will you be watching the Super Bowl? I’ll be lounging in the comfiest clothes with good friends and tasty snacks – a win-win if you ask me! Oh and if it’s a cocktail you’re in need of, how about this oh so tasty Honey & Smoke Mezcal Cocktail?
