A weekday breakfast spread that’s sure to please.
This post has been sponsored by Del Monte®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Imagine it now—a weekday breakfast spread as dreamy as this.
Just because weekdays are typically more hectic than weekend mornings (at least for most), that doesn’t mean you have to give up and snack on a less than ideal breakfast.
Not at all. In fact, you deserve a happier breakfast each and every day. Do I sound like an infomercial yet?
Well, it comes from a place of love. And fondness of breakfast. And caring for YOUR breakfast experience.
Like, why wouldn’t you want something delicious to start your day with?
Take this spread for example. The only thing I actually had to prep was the toast.
TOAST, y’all! It’s easy as pie. Here’s how that went:
I toasted the toast. Then I spread ricotta and jam (my favorite jam to be specific – raspberry amaretto jam) on top. I drizzled it with olive oil. And finally, I seasoned it a bit with salt and pepper.
The rest of the breakfast spread was good to go. Well, if you don’t count washing fruit as prep.
Which really, you shouldn’t because you should be doing that anyway. Just your friendly breakfast PSA.
Back to business. This breakfast spread includes said toast and also a new breakfast item that I’m thinking you’re really going to like: Del Monte® Fruit & Oats™, which you can find right in the fruit snack aisle at your local market.
It’s kind of funny that I love oats (all kinds!) as an adult because when I was younger, I’m pretty sure I thought that I had to eat them because I was in trouble. I thought they were tasteless and with a pretty odd consistency to boot.
Yet, here I am. Making all kinds of oats to enjoy with breakfast and as snacks throughout the day because y’all know how much I enjoy healthy snacking.
If oats aren’t your thing, there are also Del Monte® Fruit & Chia™ cups. Yes, fruit AND chia! And you don’t even need to let it sit and combine overnight. So basically, you can still enjoy them for breakfast without having to anticipate what you’d like for breakfast a day in advance. Plus, these cups provide a whole serving of fruit*.
Don’t worry, I’m not here to sell you on chia if you’re not into it (yet). Rather, there’s something else that I think you’ll enjoy. The Del Monte® Fruit Refreshers® are a great option, plus they’re like those fun fruit cups you probably remember enjoying as a kid, but all grown up!
Think of it this way, they’re that tasty oats, fruit, and chia that you can pick up and enjoy whenever. If you’re on the go, grab your cup of oats and eat them cold. Or if you have some time to spare, warm them up and enjoy them with a cup of coffee. I do have to say, the latter would definitely be my preference. But, you know, do what’s right for you. Either way, starting my day with a wholesome breakfast full of good-for-me ingredients just makes me feel better and makes for a happier morning. Can’t beat that!
