We adopted a pup! Meet Clover, y’all.
It’s no secret I’ve been a little MIA over here lately.
But it’s for a good reason, I promise. We adopted a pup!
Meet Clover. We really think he’s the cutest little pup. And, we’ve been spending lots of time getting to know him and figuring out this whole pup parent thing.
It’s no joke! But, we lucked out. He loves people and other dogs, and basically anyone who will pet him. Not even kidding. When we’re walking around, he stops and waits for each person passing by so that they can pet him. He’s getting better with it, but he still eats up the attention like crazy.
It’s like he knows he’s the cutest thing ever or something.
How we adopted a pup at the….. zoo
After spending months (mostly me) looking at pups on Petfinder and every other adoption site I could find, I convinced Tim to come to a pup adoption event over at Zoo Atlanta.
Yes, for real, the zoo.
We went to the event and nearly made it all the way out without as much as picking up a dog. Then, we saw Clover. It was like one of those dramatic meet cutes you see on the silver screen. We made eye contact and we both knew.
Just kidding, but it was definitely love at first sight.
We picked him up (the only dog we even pet while were there!) and didn’t put him down until we got to the shop to pick up a leash, collar, and food. He was just so calm and adorable, and…did I mention adorable?
Oh and don’t worry, Tim wanted a pup, too. But, he’s the more practical half of our relationship and thought we should wait until after the wedding. Sorry Tim, I guess we just couldn’t wait any longer.
