And we’re off to Europe!
Okay – here we are – the last big announcement for a while.
Are you over it? I hope not, because this is another exciting one!
We’ll be spending the month of June in Europe. EEK! If you can’t tell, I’m extremely excited and can’t wait to finally see Europe for the first time. Yes, I’m for real. I really haven’t been to Europe yet, which is partially why we’re going all out and spending nearly 5 weeks there!
Why Europe?
It all started one weekend morning when I woke up (early, per usual) and was working in the living room before Tim got up. I was thinking about timing for the move, and realized that we might be able to take a little trip before heading down to Atlanta. Of all the places Tim talks about, the Netherlands was at the top of my list. Here’s why:
- We’re both cyclists (he’s a bit better than I am, to say the least). And, we love being able to get around via our bikes.
- It’s an easy spot to visit, many people speak English and it’s not too far at all.
- It’s centrally located, and fairly close to many of the spots we want to check out in Europe.
Let’s back it up. Tim spent about 6 weeks in the Netherlands during college and loved it. He still talks about it quite frequently, in fact. Which, I don’t mind, because if he didn’t this trip might not be really happening! I just loved how much he loved the Netherlands and wanted to experience it for myself.
From there it kind of spiraled into why don’t we just go for a full month? It’s taking a lot of logistical planning, but it’ll be so worth it.
And we’re off to Europe!
We’ll be flying out on June 1 for Europe and will be returning in early July. We’ll be spending the month of June in the Netherlands – Utrecht to be exact. We’ll be a super quick train ride away from Amsterdam, which seemed like the perfect fit to me. Our little apartment is situated on a quiet, yet adorable, street in Utrecht. I cannot wait to share photos with you! Well, I supposed I can’t wait to see it for myself and then share photos with you! So, stay tuned, y’all.

Have the best trip! I haven’t explored that much of Europe and not for a long time. I’m heading to Scotland in July for seven weeks so I’m hoping I can pop over and experience a bit more. The Netherlands sounds amazing!
