Spring is for tidying up and purging the excess (which, if you need help with that – Marie Kondo’s book is fab), while summer is for sipping cocktails and dining al fresco, enjoying the sun as much as possible (preferably at the beach), and loving on summer sangria.
But, I thought – why not combine the two? After taking the colors and flavors of summer, and pairing it with the power of tidying up and starting anew, you’ve got a sangria-inspired kitchen! Well, at least that’s where my mind goes. I partnered up with my friends at Big Chill to bring you this downright fun, colorful kitchen mood board. Unfamiliar with Big Chill? Doubt it. As soon as you see their retro and modern gas stoves, it’s sure to jog your memory! Just check out the adorable one below – case in point.
When I was first pulling together this board, I thought I’d use Big Chill’s bright pink oven as the staple, but then I realized they have a white oven! Well, and about every other color you could think of. So, I started with that – a fresh canvas, if you will. Pair in a neutral runner, white factory light, and tons of colorful accoutrements and you’ve got yourself a Sweet Summer Rosé Sangria-inspired kitchen!
If you could model your kitchen after your favorite cocktail, what would it be? I had such a hard time choosing, but I loved the idea of dreaming up my ideal kitchen with a colorful summer favorite in mind.
