Happy Friday, y’all! It might be snowing here in Boston, but I’m celebrating with a new cocktail – the mint and blackberry bramble. I’ve basically taken one of my favorite classics, the bramble, and made it my own. Kind of like last week.
Since last week, so much has happened! Here are a few updates:
I scored a new gig! I’ll still be working in social media, but I think it’s going to be the perfect challenge.
T and I visited Chicago for the very first time. Oh my gosh, it was amazing. We went all over the place, yet I still feel like we barely saw any of the city! It’s huge! That just means we have to go back, obviously. And a shout-out to every amazing person who shared recommendations with me!
I also started my new job this Tuesday – it moved quite quickly if you couldn’t tell. However, not before I managed to get food poisoning at the Chicago Midway International Airport. It was great, really. Who doesn’t love getting food poisoning the night before their first day at work? It’s okay, I made it through.
Okay, back on track. I also made you this delicious mint and blackberry bramble. Kind of like last week, I used lemon and quickly realized that ew, it was gross. There’s lemon in a traditional bramble, but it just did not work here.
Don’t even bother trying it. It was not cool. Hey, at least I’m learning, right?
It’s a fairly simple and straightforward cocktail, but will totally impress your friends at your next little shindig. Also, you just can’t go wrong with fresh mint. I’m sure of it.
What’s your typical go-to cocktail when entertaining? I’m enjoying this whole play-up-the-classics-deal.
Oh yeah, and a big thanks to my girl, C., for being my hand model!
